Mining your case

Day light save ended today. Glad to gain an hour. It is all element of perception, gaining an hour or loosing one. Since about 4 hours now, I have been sitting with Enterprise Data Miner in SAS doing some data mining. Reflecting on my weekend, since thursday, I was extremely tied up with a case competition. It was an exciting event, learning to write a proposal, actually wrote one :) and presenting it to Corporate big shots. In effect, I learnt a lot, just pointers to what I learnt
* no matter how great your report is, no one reads it
* Use slides as bullet points, not as scratch pads with all your views
* if you know 'one minute elevator talk', you are going to do great
* freudian slips such as ' if you did not get a copy of my resume', instead of 'if you did not get a copy of my report' works like charm.
* never stand with your ears closed during the announcement of final results
* smile when being clicked, your picture might just appear on some website

well, was exciting, in all. I am done for now.will get back later
adios
